Food Web of Yellowstone

Even with their mismatched, greyscale clip art imagery, food webs fascinated me as a middle schooler in science class. What bugged me though was their simplicity — nowhere near enough arrows per organism, always the same handful of animals, and always grass as the singular represented producer. Nature isn’t neat with straight lines or hard and fast labels, and sometimes animals that are well-known for their carnivorous diets are actually omnivores.
